BYO Tube / Kayak / Canoe

We love that everyone is getting into owning kayaks and tubes of their own and we also love the environment. So, we like to help people get on the river while bringing as few as vehicles as possible. However, maybe the #1 question people ask us: "Do you charge people with their own equipment to ride your bus?" Yes, we do charge for people to ride the bus even if they have their own equipment (we seriously cannot believe that people would think otherwise, but you have no idea how often we get asked that!) So here are some different ways to do this:

Traditional:
Everyone comes to the canoe rental in Newaygo. Those that are renting, pay $20 per person for tubes and $15 for cooler tubes and this includes the ride up to Thornapple. Our tubes and cooler tubes are already at the launch, so we just need to get those customers to the starting point. Those that have their own, also pay $20 per person as we have to transport them with a trailer, let them use our air to inflate their tube and we then have to pay the State of MI per person that we put through the launch. However, they do get to use our air, rent cooler tubes (one per four tubers) and use a life-jacket if you need one.

Smidge different:
The people that are renting, drop the people off at Thornapple with their own stuff, while they are getting their stuff inflated / together, the rest come to Newaygo, rent tubes (make sure you have reservation) get ride up and everyone ends in Newaygo and vehicles are there.

Super star:
Call Affordable Limo they charge per person and do all the work setting up tubing trip and driving and it is super simple :) 616.299.1812

Insanity but "Money Saver"
Drop one car at the ending point. Hide the keys on the vehicle or leave them at our building so you don't loose them, get them wet or accidently leave them in the vehicle at the starting point. Happens ALL THE TIME and we do not go back up at the end of the day to the launch. No, there is no Uber or taxi service in Newaygo either. Go up to the starting point, STAYING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAYS spend about an hour blowing up your tubes, float down to the ending point. While people are letting air out of the tubes you go get the other vehicles with the one you left at ending point this morning. Save money. (All of this running around or you could just spend about $20 a person and actually enjoy the time on the river and let us do the running around!)

Arrange a 'car spot' with us prior to trip for $30 / vehicle. Go up to the starting point, STAYING OUT OF THE BOATLAUNCH, DRIVEWAYS AND ROAD spend about an hour blowing up your tubes, float down to the ending point. When you get there, your keys will be in the office with a note as to where it is parked.

Those that have their own pay $20 and can us our air pumps to air up their stuff. At the end of the trip they can deflate at Anderson or wait until we get back to Newaygo.
